Hilary Nichols

Manager, Peer Learning and Knowledge; Global Banking Alliance for Women

As the Manager of Peer Learning and Knowledge at the Global Banking Alliance for Women, Hilary is responsible for designing and implementing new and existing peer learning activities related to the development of Women’s Market program strategies and their implementation globally. Hilary also maximizes and harvests the knowledge created through these activities to create best practice commercial approaches for the inclusion of women into the financial sector. She also supports on building out of GBA’s Data Analytics Platform, the first global repository of women’s financial services data in the world, and in the development of a Global Gender Data strategy in a key partnership with regulators, multilaterals and other international organizations.

Hilary received her MBA in Finance at the Duke University Fuqua School of Business, where she contributed as a Scholar of the Center of Advancement of Social Entrepreneurship. She has over eight years of experience working with global financial institutions and entrepreneur accelerators on strategies to serve low-income women and MSMEs. At Women’s World Banking, Hilary led the design and implementation of microinsurance solutions for low-income women clients of financial institutions in Peru, Mexico, Uganda, Morocco, Egypt. She earned her BA in Economics and Spanish at the University of Vermont.
