Tuesday 13th November 2018
Day 2 of the 2018 GBA Summit has a packed agenda, kicking off with an exploration from McKinsey & Company design thinking strategists Munya Muvezwa and Allison Rowe of what it will be like to be a consumer of financial services in the year 2030. Seamless integration of financial services into consumers’ everyday lives via digital platforms will be a hallmark of the industry in the future, but maintaining a personal touch will be critical. Munya will facilitate a panel of experts who will share what their organizations are doing to achieve this – finding the right mix of technology and touch. The morning will be rounded out with a special talk by Jean Marie Healy, Vice President of Global Consumer Credit at Mastercard, who will present key findings around women’s payments behavior and launch the “Women by Design” partnership between Mastercard and GBA.
The afternoon will offer a variety of parallel sessions, looking at the latest in payment options for women, Islamic finance with a gender lens, scaling non-financial services with digital platforms and gender-smart investment products for women. The best practice sessions will conclude with an energizing look at what some GBA best practice organizations are doing to un-stereotype their advertisements for the Women’s Market, which has shown to have a strong impact on the effectiveness of ads.
The day will be capped off by the annual GBA Gala Dinner & Women’s Market Champion Awards ceremony, where the winners of this year’s honors will be formally announced.
